Saturday and Sunday Adventures

From Ethan:
"The photo of the trucks on the road is part of our drive up to Mango from Lome. There is a pass that had a lot of trucks stopped so they blocked the right-hand lane as they waited for a chance to go over the hill. The remaining lane was shared by us and traffic coming down the hill.

The photos of the men in the shop is a picture of the hoist that was purchased by Boise folks at last year's missions conference.

The next two pictures are from today.

At 2pm we headed into Nogbebji's (pronounced No-Bu-Gee) sewing school where he took our measurements for matching shirts and we purchased the material. The shirts will be sewn and available in a couple of days. You can learn more about Nogbebji at  http://themolsees.com/?p=309

Following the stop at Nogbebji's we headed to the market where we saw mostly items that were purchased for daily living here in Mango (fruits, grains, shoes, medications and food), although I think some team members purchased cloth, machetes, and a couple of other things.  After the market we headed back to the guest house, changed and drove over to the hospital site to enjoy the pool and have dinner. Did we mention the hospital site has a pool?

Wow, God does more than just provide the necessities some times (although today the pool almost felt like a necessity) would you believe that a couple of pool companies owned by Christians donated all the parts and supplies needed to have a pool on the hospital property and then also flew a crew out to install and build the pool? It did feel great today.

After a dip in the pool and dinner we made it back to the guest house in time to be a part of the weekly missionary worship service.  This was a great time of meeting the missionaries currently serving in Mango as we sang songs together and heard an encouraging message from Pastor Randy on prayer.
