Dave and I met Todd at the beginning of the Treasure Valley Missions conference in February 2011. Todd, his wife (Jennifer) and his family will be moving to Mango to be part of the team there at the new hospital. Dave said that he gets to see Todd sometime during their time there. Todd works at the southern hospital right now. Here is latest note from the DeKrygers that I received the other day. I know it will be an encouragement to you. It was to me.
Please pray for the DeKrygers.
Dear Friends and Family,
Attached is our latest DeKryger Detailer, it is not long, there is not a lot of information, but it expresses our heart. Thank you for your consistency in prayer and support for us. (I couldn't attach the prayer letter, please to to their website and check it out. I cut and pasted part of below the photo video-Beth)
We are still in the South of Togo, and that will be the case until 2013. We appreciate the opportunity here to build into the lives of the Togolese, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are a part of preparing them for the future work in Mango. We enjoy going with teams every other month or so to Mango and frequently taking our Togolese coworkers with us! God is working in the lives not only of our Christian brothers and sisters in Christ in the south, but our team in the north is experiencing the opportunity to share Biblical truth as well. On the jobsite in Mango, is a daily time in God’s Word with the 30 or so Tchokossi workers. We pray that many of these men will become future Hospital of Hope employees.
God Bless, and have a great week,
Todd

From the newsletter:
WE ARE IN THE SOUTH, CONSTANTLY PREPARING FOR THE MINISTRY IN MANGO
A word from the Word: 2 Timothy 2:2-6 gives us four principles to live by:
1. Entrust what we have learned to reliable people who are qualified to teach others. This keeps us spiritually vibrant and helps to avoid stagnation.
2. Serve God like a good soldier pleasing Him always, while not engaging ourselves in earthly affairs.
3. Compete like an athlete according to the rules, knowing we will gain our crown in heaven.
4. We need to feed ourselves first like a hardworking farmer, in order to minister to others!
I say all of these things first of all to myself. Life has been hectic here lately, and in our busyness we have been distracted from these four principles. We need to apply these to our lives in the midst of emergencies, when we are tired and feel like canceling a Bible Study, or when needing to respond to critical emails re the Hospital of Hope project.
Please pray that we would entrust what we have learned to others (especially our kids), that we would avoid engaging in affairs that aren’t crucial, that we would obey the rules of God’s Word, and finally that we would
feed ourselves first, spiritually everyday! In so doing, we will have the capacity to feed others here for the long haul.
Ministry news: Jennifer teamed up with Linda Bont from Fremont, MI, Becky Poteat from Togo, and several Togolese to conduct six ladies’ conferences throughout Togo. They taught on the subject of Psalm 1, on being rooted deeply in God and striving to raise children to love God. Soon, we will start a monthly prayer and training time at our house to prepare future Hospital of Hope candidates for the medical ministry in the Muslim town of Mango.
Family news: Todd is enjoying immensely the combination of medicine, surgery, and evangelism. Pray for balance in his life. William, Grant, Luke and Drew are doing great in Aunt Kelli school, and enjoy their life here in Togo. They are eager to transition to Mango. Please pray for Aunt Kelli as she returns to the States this summer for medical testing. Pray as well for our Mango missionary and Togolese team. As God assembles it, pray that nothing would block the movement of God in the lives of our current and future missionary teammates.
We thank God for you, for your prayers, for your support of this vital ministry to the Togolese.
God Bless You!
Todd for all the DeKrygers in Togo
What a neat family!!! True faith and pure love in action.
